THE HEART BEHIND THE STORIES
Brittany has always lived at the intersection of creation and connection. With a B.F.A. in Design as her foundation, her career has been a continuous thread of storytelling, woven through every season of her life. In 2022, she stepped away from her role as a print and brand designer to fully transition to motherhood. It was then that she discovered that creating in the “margins” was more fulfilling than it had ever been.
From the editorial storytelling of Ivy Lane Photography to the intentional design of handmade playthings, writing children’s books wasn’t a shift in direction—it was simply the next chapter in a lifelong pursuit of artful storytelling.

MY WRITING IS AN EXTENSION OF MY LIFE AS A “MOMTREPRENEUR”, BORN FROM THE HOURS OF PLAYING, TEACHING, AND CONSTANTLY CREATING.
Brittany believes that a truly great book is a shared experience, designed to nourish the grown-up soul just as much as the child’s imagination. Whether she is encouraging her firstborn, Rin, to find resilience, or guiding a toddler through a playful introduction to the days of the week, Brittany writes for the "little listeners" and the weary, loving hearts of those holding the book.

An adventurous journey through Virginia's boundary-less imagination, this story holds ocean exploration, a friendly whale, and glowing starfish that all lead her back to her greatest adventure: the one she shares with her family.

WHY ALL CREATION SINGS (PB)
Through the eyes of a curious child, this rhyming picture bookexplores the divine rhythm of the natural world. This gentle, faith-based story transforms the sounds of the earth into a symphony of worship, teaching children that they, too, have a unique part to play in the song of creation.
I first rediscovered my love of writing when I started this blog, Ordinary Little Finds, to offer encouragement and support to like-minded moms in their balance of motherhood and making home.
Inspiration found me again (as it often does) in unexpected places when I had the idea to write a book for my 4-year-old who dreams of being an Astronaut. Also in love with ice skating, I used her current interests to inspire resilience in trying hard things. When it was finished, I knew I wanted to see it published not just for my daughter, but for young girls everywhere. All of a sudden, I wrote another children’s story after hearing my husband say something at the dinner table. Then again, after listening to the sweet little song of a bird out of our apartment window that signaled morning when the rest of the house was quietly sleeping. It suddenly happened all around me, like something I couldn’t stop. So I rushed to write down every word that came suddenly before my day got too busy. And so begins my next dream…to be a children’s book author.
